There was a James Bond film called Live And Let Die. That fact has nothing whatsoever to do with Charles Boyd’s album “Mr. Chickenman” but I need to put something different in the first paragraph so that I would be reminded that this is the third time that I have had to listen to his puerile attempts at adult humour.

At least he gives some warnings on the sleeve this time with no less than five of the 23 songs here actually being free of cuss words. There is, oddly enough, no warning is given that all 23 songs are devoid of anything even vaguely poetic is even if titles such as “Topless Beach” and “Lookin’ for a Slut” are clearly candidates for demonstrating a mastery of rhyme. Don’t get me wrong, I can handle the smut – Blowfly went much further than this Chickenman does – but not the overwhelming style free sh*tness of it all.

So, Charles Boyd has given us yet another juvenile w*nkathon and it is one that even dedicated spank monkeys will choose to ignore. God, I need a beer!
