Punk American style. It seems that it has never died. Tokyo Decadence provide us with a fine example of the style. There are only 5 tracks but they all punch their way out of the speakers.

Loud and brash, the band strut their stuff with bravado. Particular credit is due to the powerhouse drumming that keeps the feet moving and the heart pounding. "Wake Up, Nosferatu" (it actually has a sing-along chorus) and "I Can't Die without You" indicate the lyrical focus is on the darker side of life. Nothing wrong with that of course and the performances have attitude aplenty. It is safe to say that these guys only come to life after dark. From our researches, the band was the brainchild of California based Felix Bergman. Sonically, they are on the opposite side of the planet from the Beach Boys.

Tokyo Decadence claim Bryan Ferry and Jagermeister (now there is a real man's drink!) as influences and they indeed could be the bastard offspring of such an unholy communion. Well worth investigation if you like it loud. Beat the drum and sing the song! Available from CD Baby.
