From Glasgow, Colette McKendrick is a singer songwriter with talent and outlook that far exceeds her years. She has a strong voice and is backed by some fine musicians. Her sound is arty, sometimes almost cabaret, but always interesting.

This rather eclectic collection of self penned songs shows considerable imagination. "Peter Pan's Biggest Fan" is piano driven angst. "This Girl" is the story of the woman who is always the second choice. Killer track is "Stylish Funerals" which tells the tale of an empty life that comes with (apparent) success. BluesBunny was impressed with her lyrical sensibilities. Really impressed.

A remarkably mature and adventurous effort especially since this is her debut album. Without doubt, Ms McKendrick is an original. So track the CD down and buy it. You have your orders. One final point - BluesBunny hopes she does not sell out and write a musical just yet. Fame and fortune cannot be far away. Available from CD Baby.
