What was I thinking? No, I can’t remember. Was it something about going out for a curry on Saturday? Of course not. Was it wondering what Adam Ross is up to these days? Aha! And the answer is called The Polychromes.

Sure enough, Adam Ross has done the Power Ranger bonding thing with Gareth Perrie to form yet another musical collaboration. Not that I am complaining, for these four songs are a pleasant way to pass a part of your day especially if you appreciate lyrical literacy and easy on the ears melody of which you will find plenty here. Sentimentality is, unsurprisingly, part of the Polychromes modus operandi and it infuses all that they do with the finger of pulse synchronicity of “My Digital Heartbeat” being the song most likely to wind your watch.

I don’t think Adam Ross even knows how to do wrong when it comes to matters musical for, even in these minor key songs, the mark of quality is there for all to see. Eerie Indie Adam has clearly made it to the Emerald City.

Available from Bandcamp.
