In times gone by, there was a phrase that went "angry young men". It signified the rebellious spirit of youth (rebellion was, it would seem, a male bastion in those days). Nowadays, we have angry young women as well. Cathy Ann is a prime example of the breed. Full of anger, she snarls her songs of obsession and frustration with the plastic world we live in.

"Musical Prostitute" and "Hollywood" rip sarcastically through the path to fame. "Crazy Bitch" will make you believe she is, well, one. "Duraselove" tells the tale of a young lady's close relationship with a certain well known brand of alkaline batteries.

Her hard hitting lyrics and power pop sensibilities make this an enjoyable, if challenging, listen. If you want more of Cathy Ann, she has metamorphosed into Therina Bella.
