Katie is actually Kathrine Bergström, and this is her first solo outing.  Furthermore, despite the reference to Tokyo, she is from Sweden, although the sound is pure Americana influenced pop.  Which I suppose makes this Scandinaviana!!  She gives us a catchy and melodic pop sound typified by songs such as "Unbelievable" and "The Girl Who Ruined Your World", both solid up tempo numbers that quickly get you tapping along.  And "Everywhere I Go", although a bit more subdued, is in a similar vein.

However it is "If It's Alright", perhaps one of the least typical songs on the album, which catches your attention with a fuller and more sophisticated sound.  While with "Contemplation's Over Now" she gives us a more stylish sounding pop song.   Although at times things can sound a bit the same, Kathrine undoubtedly has a fine voice you just can't help but warm to.  We look forward to further developments.
