Vinyl, vinyl everywhere. For a supposedly obsolete format, plenty of music still appears on it. Rummaging through the racks in a Glasgow record shop uncovered this release from The Moth and The Mirror.

Fortunately it is an interesting one too. "Soft Insides" starts off sounding a bit industrial then goes all standard indie rock (insistent, echoing guitars etc)  before layering on some positively ethereal female vocals from Stacey Sievwright. I know that doesn't sound like much but it works. You feel like you have been wrapped up in a big soft blanket as you listen to it with all the drama in the world happening around you. Quite comforting, really.

Available as part of a split single with The Ads "Say That It's Summer".
