When it comes down to it, Quanta have put together a solid enough collection of rock with a hint of an electronica influence that is unlikely to leave you disappointed.  Unfortunately however it is also one of those frustrating albums where although you find nothing to criticise, there are only a few tracks that really stand out.  “Dicey Neighborhood” is one such track, with hints of Depeche Mode or even a more pop oriented New Order.  “Niche” also gets your attention with an almost funky beat underneath a rock-hard wall of sound.

Ironically though the song that most catches your attention, and arguably the highlight, is “Sun Means Rain” – an unplugged number with a blues beat at its core that can best be summed up as plain and simple music done very well.  However, as fine a performance as this is, it just needs a bit extra to make appeal to a wider audience.  So, keep up the good work, but if variety is the spice of life then it’s time to invest in a bigger spice rack!!
