You can’t go far wrong with a singer songwriter from New York and, as if to prove that maxim once again true, Siobahn Hotaling brings us her second release “Unguarded”.

Wearing her heart on her metaphorical sleeve, she takes us on a journey back to more sentimental times when the lines drawn in the relationship sand were clearly drawn on the beach of life. Ms. Hotaling also knows how to put a song together and it would be easy to imagine the likes of “Back To The Future” or “Heart in Your Hands” as being the product of a pen much more highly paid then the one that actually committed them to paper. Talking of “Heart in Your Hands”, this is the song that gives Ms. Hotaling the opportunity to go large on the vocal love. Soulful and determined, she sings this one out and up into the clouds.

“Out of My Head” provides further proof of her confident delivery and confirms that Siobahn Hotaling is rowing right along the mainstream with the current in her favour.

The EP is available from Bandcamp.
