You can’t go wrong with a bit of fragile sentimentality and Texas acoustic duo Ally & Chris are nothing if not sentimental fragile. Their EP “Out Loud” provides the evidence of this.

Barring a curiously flaccid take on Maroon 5’s “Sunday Morning”, there is much here to enjoy with your Sunday morning latté and Allyson Rogers adds that extra shot of winsome to all that she sings. “Remember Me” floats light as a cloud over the night before as does “All I Need” and there is a very American polish to help slide these songs along towards your heart. Perhaps the most radio friendly song however – or, I suppose, television drama friendly they want to see the royalties – is “Loving Her”. It’s got that last dance montage feel nailed right down.

So when you are offering taxi fare to the one you just loved, remember to also give her a copy of this EP. You know it’s the right thing to do.
