Goodnight City presents us with pure unadulterated pop music, with a strong leaning towards the noisier end of the spectrum.  They believe guitars should be played loudly, and cymbals are there to be hit - hard and often.  The result is some solid sounding pop with a pleasing hard edge to it.

They start as they mean to go on with "Picture Perfect" and are right up to top speed immediately with this storming opener, while "By the Time I Hit the Border" is delivered in a similar manner. "Tragedy" stays just the right side of irritatingly catchy, and has a darker subject matter than you first think.  As this is an enhanced CD you also get a video with interviews, story behind the songs and making of the album which is well worth a look.  This is a band that keep their sound simple and straightforward, and it's all the better for it.
