The wonders of the Internet. You can get any kind of music there. As we suffer from eternal curiosity, we sometimes wander about the Internet aimlessly. On one of these trips we encountered Nashville's Atomic Blonde. They are about as far from the Grand Ole Opry as you can get.

Opening with the storming devastation of "Baby Doll", the band sing songs of assertiveness and attitude featuring sledgehammer guitar work. "Break Me Open" is the most commercial track with a very radio friendly hook. The closing track "I Am" is the closest this band gets to a sensitive ballad and demonstrates that there is more to Atomic Blonde than cranking the volume up to 11.

Sassy, almost manic and full of spirit, this is straightforward, guitar driven, loud music. We have to admit to liking this release. Devoid of pretensions, it proved refreshing to our tired ears. You can just tell Atomic Blonde will be a quality live act.
